Hi guys we have a mixed start to the season with 2 defeats and a superb win Even though we lost the first 2 games it was only by the odd goal and it was towards the end of these games which possibly means we switched off but nevertheless we will work on that throughout this season Big thanks to Ian for doing a great job whilst we was away he handled the lads very well and it was his team selection and rotation that got the win we needed myself and pete hope to build on this
Technichally we have a lot of things we want to bring into the lads training i.e throwins, .passing, receiving and holding the ball also awareness.What we hope to acheive is a better understanding of how to play football, this will take time and a lot of hard work what we must stress to the players and possibly the parents is that all though its great to see the lads winning and this season we will probably lose more than we win but that isnt important at this age DEVELOPING is and that is ultimately what we are looking to do with this team Develop them as individuals When we say this we mean we would be more interested in little so and so who at this time cannot do the basic things in football but in twelve months time he is more than able to do this and more comfortably .So parents this is where you come into it YOU are very important at this stage you must stress to your son that it isnt about winning every game its playing football for what it is F U N hopefully this is what we are about and why we are called REBELS because we are rebelling against the idea that our kids in order to win things they have to be in the best team and be fantastic players that isnt our attitude We want to develop the kids who dont play week in week out because they havent quite got the hang of football yet and if some parents think that the way we intend to do this isnt what they want for there son then you may be better of trying out for another team because we are in it for the long haul to make this team a good team because when they have done all the basic stuff it will automatically get the results they deserve One more final word we are looking for feedback as to where and when we could take the lads for team bonding any ideas!!!!!!
