SOCCER WORLD DYNAMOES 0
MIDDLETON BOYS BLACK 1
JACUB BRABINAR (1)

We knew a win today on the last day of the season would see the boys crowned champions.

With every top team playing each other at the same time and with Littleborough piling on the pressure, we knew the boys had to put in a performance.

The team talk was about everyone putting in 100% effort, teamwork and trying to relax on the ball when in possession.

The 1st period was played at 100 mile an hour with a much improved Dynamos team giving as good as they got. The boys looked nervous and never really got their passing game going but you always felt a goal was just around the corner. 0 – 0 at the break.

The 2nd period started with some strong running on the right by Shaun and down the left by Darren. With the Dynamos keeper looking a bit nervous, there was only one team looking likely to score but again a combination of good defending and bad luck kept the boys from taking the lead. 0-0 at the break.

With the nerves kicking in, the team talk at the start of the 3rd period was again about relaxing on the ball and trying to pass a bit quicker . The Boys knew that Littleborough were winning and a draw was no good , so attack was the order for the last 20mins.

At last the deadlock was broken after some determined play by the Boys forward line, the ball eventually fell to Jacob who slotted it into the corner. 1-0 to the Boys!
Some nervy moments towards the end but the boys came through to win the game and take the top spot and be crowned champions.

It’s been a great effort by all the lads this season with some excellent individual performances. Most of the lads have played in a few different positions with the likes of Brad & Sam playing at the back for most of the season, not the glory positions and not their best positions but you win leagues by being able to defend first and these lads have put the team 1st and haven`t complained once.
Shaun ,Callum and Darren have rotated left, right and sometimes at the back and they’ve all learned the defensive side of playing football. Connor and Jacob have rotated up front all year, both have come on and scored important goals at crucial times, Allie, wherever we’ve played him we’ve known he wouldn’t let us down, James has improved with every game and Lewis just gave us a little bit of quality when we needed it towards the end of the season.
With Ben leaving us mid season, Sean came into the net and without doubt saved us in the last couple of games

Well done boys , a great team effort this year and well deserved

Tom, Kev & Ian
